Nero Burning ROM is a popular program for burning data to CDs and DVDs and it can also be used to make audio CDs to be played in any CD player. Making an audio CD with Nero is quick and easy.
Instructions
- Start your Nero program and put a blank CD-R disc into your writable CD drive. Choose "Audio CD" when the New Compilation window appears. You can enter the title, artist and other information about your CD under the Audio CD tab if you choose. Click "New" when you are ready to proceed.
- Use the area under the heading "File Browser" to search your hard drive for audio files that you would like to put on your CD. Click and drag files to the left side of the screen if you want to put them on your CD.
- Arrange the tracks by clicking and dragging them up and down the list. The order your tracks are listed on this screen is the order in which they will play on your CD.
- See how much room you have left on the disc by looking at the progress bar on the bottom of the screen. A dotted line is shown at 80 minutes, which is the maximum length for an audio CD. Once your progress goes past this bar, you will need to remove some tracks as they will not all fit on the disc.
- Click on the burn icon when you are ready to burn your disc. Choose your burn options, making sure "Disc-at-once" and "Write to CD" are both checked, and select OK.
- Wait as your disc burns. When it is finished, a window will pop up letting you know. You can eject your disc and play it in a CD player immediately.
